Hypnotherapy<\/h4>\n

Clinical hypnotherapy is provided by some integrated care centres. Hypnosis is a psychological technique used in medicine and psychology as a tool to help bring about positive changes to both the mind and the body. <\/span><\/span>Consequently, the list of problems which may be amenable to Hypnotherapy is far too long and varied to catalogue but certainly includes: stress, anxiety, panic, phobias, addictions (e.g. smoking, overeating, alcoholism), disrupted sleep patterns, lack of confidence and low self-esteem, skin disorders, migraine and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). NICE recommends hypnotherapy for IBS.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

EMDR<\/h4>\n

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing therapy <\/span><\/span>is a powerful psychological treatment method that was developed in the 1980\u2019s. <\/span><\/span>The wealth of research conducted demonstrates its benefits in treating psychological trauma and PTSD arising from experiences of childhood sexual and\/or physical abuse or neglect, natural disaster, assault, surgical trauma, road traffic accidents and workplace accidents. EMDR is also increasingly used to help individuals with other issues including phobias, anxiety, pain management, and depression.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

NLP (Neuro linguistic programming) is normally used by Life \/ Executive Coaches to promote positive change.
